American McGee, a young designer fresh from working on popular titles such as Quake and Doom 2 for ID Software was hired on at Rogue, and helped them develop an intense third person puzzle adventure based on Lewis Carroll's Alice. American McGee's Alice, however, is a much darker take. Wonderland has fallen into doom & disrepair, and Alice seems to be the only one available for the job.

I personally really enjoyed the game, up until the point it crashed. A caveat to potential players out there - Alice still doesn't seem to be supported by NT/2000 or XP. And unfortunately, EA may have helped them make a great game, but they didn't seem to make very good support for it. Woe. If you have Windows 9x, you're all set, though. So buy it (it's only 10$ by now, you bum), and try it. I highly recommend it. (If anyone digs up XP support for the game, please email me ASAP!)
